ARP | Dispatch

above: the dispatch process, detailing how the algae would reach the destination
below: shipping routes, how long it would roughly take in days to ship from Japan to an emergency. The map details all the primary and secondary shipping routes.

ARP | desalination process

Old vs Pioneering techniques, a process diagram to show the process of desalination. Using the algae we are able to cut out the lengthy process of digging and replacing soil.

above: the process flowchart, it depicts where the ARP will feature in the emergency response process.

A R P | cynobacteria

In Japan, after their tsunami in 2011 many farmsteads were affected. A Japanese farmer developed the concept of using blue-green algae (cynobacteria) to treat the soil. This amazing development quickened the process of desalination within the soil. Within 3 months he had a bumper crop of tomatoes.

Development and Emergency Practice (DEP) | Agricultural Rehabilitation Project (ARP)

A R P | The Brief
(Agricultural Rehabilitation Project)

Specialising in a new a module, Development and Emergency Practice. The subsequent posts will be a short design proposal for Agricultural Land Rehabilitation process post tsunami. Designed to overcome the effect of a tsunami (land destruction and soil salination).

The project is based on pioneering technology and design which are available now but yet untested. Its what i like to call an academic exploratory design project.

Concept Development: automated flying drones.

Hong Kong 40 sq.ft apartments

Discovered these remarkable people living in tiny apartments while I was browsing the internet. I question the need for space in todays architecture. Surely with land costing more, would we all be living vertically?

The concept of vertical living has been explored many a time by students and architects, but I feel with the realisation of todays society that the need for it maybe higher than expected.

Job Hunting

Job Hunting

Love a good job hunt, finding new ways to make yourself unique and different from everyone else. Thus, created a QR scan code for email signatures and for the business card (which ordered 250 - minimum order - what am i going to do with so many!)
